The largest parade of Ford cars crossing a bridge is 133 when the Heartland Mustang Club led 133 participating Ford vehicles across the John F. Kennedy Causeway Bridge from Corpus Christi, Texas to Padre Island and then onto Mustang Island during Muscle Car Week for America’s annual MustangFest on OCT 5, 2012. The parade was comprised exclusively of Ford vehicles (predominantly Mustangs) which departed earlier from Champion Ford (now AutoNation Ford-Mazda) and was escorted down South Padre Island Drive and Park Road 22 by multiple radar and traffic patrol cars, plus several CCPD motorcycle officers. The parade of Ford cars proceeded non-stop onto Mustang Island for its final 15-mile trek up Mustang Island Road (State Highway 361).
