The most shrimps eaten in 3 minutes is 278 grams, eaten at Doc’s Seafood & Steaks in Corpus Christi, Texas by Island Tom Hartford on October 16, 2014. Using cooked and peeled Texas gulf shrimps, fresh from the Gulf of Mexico, Island Tom briskly ate 278g of cooked shrimps, using a seafood fork, with one hand behind his back (handcuffed to his belt loop) while a crowd of law enforcement officers, witnesses, timekeepers, restaurant owners/staff members, restaurant customers and spectators looked on. Guidelines used for the attempt were exactly the same guidelines issued by Guinness World Records® at the time of the attempt.
